On Thursday 26th October Lowe Electrical attended the 25th Anniversary of the National Electrical Industry Awards. Held in the Kensington Royal Garden Hotel, the prestigious annual event celebrated the best of Britain’s Electrical Products, Projects, Contractors and Wholesalers.
The awards act as a benchmark for excellence across the trade. Rodney Jack, editor of Electrical Times, the organisers of the Awards, said: “Individuals and businesses from across the electrical trade have worked tirelessly to ensure its professionalism and continued prosperity, and as such it has been a true pleasure to be able to showcase the hard work and dedication of these committed companies and the individuals behind them.”
We are delighted to announce that for the second year running Lowe Electrical was awarded a Highly Commended Second Place. Managing Director Jon Lowe says, “We are proud that our hard work has been recognised by the Industry and will continue to invest in all areas of the Company to ensure our Clients benefit from the highest level of service”.
Lowe Electrical are proud to be sponsoring the Under 9 Tornados of the Anstey Swifts FC this season. Looking great in their new kit we wish them a successful season with plenty of goals scored and lots of fun had!
Anstey Swifts Football Club started in 1975, the aim was simple and has never changed, to provide the children of Anstey the opportunity to play football. From these beginnings of a single team of local lads the club has grown so that it now can field 15 teams, with over 200 children from Anstey and the neighbouring villages playing for the Swifts.
Anstey Swifts FC is affiliated with the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA with teams playing in The Leicester & District Mutual League, The Leicestershire Foxes League, The Leicester & District Juniors League, the MDH Youth League and the Leicester City & County Girls League. Our teams run from under 7 through to under 18 and our partnership with Anstey Nomads FC continues the opportunity to play football through into adulthood.
Lowe Electrical have been running an Apprenticeship Programme for over 13 years and work closely with Leicester College to develop the highest calibre of Engineers, most of whom are offered a position within the Company after completing their four year Apprenticeship.
Accompanying our Qualified Electricians, all Apprentices have the opportunity of gaining real working experience within their local City for some of Leicester’s most established organisations. From Universities, Local Council and Industrial Manufacturers, they are learning invaluable skills every day.
Our investment continues beyond the initial years, and in the last 12 months over 130 training courses for engineers and staff have been completed as part of our continual training programme.
Parm Bindra, Training Consultant at Leicester College says “Lowe Electrical offers high quality services and training programmes which are industry leading. One of the work experience projects that we worked on pointed out concern for quality and attention to detail that the company has. Together we devised a campaign to provide learners with a chance to gain work experience with the ability to turn this into career from their apprenticeships. This was such a great success that we have replicated this with other valuable clients. In our opinion it has been the knowledge and the creativity of the company that resulted in such impressive results.”
